Two new faculty members join MASHLM this month, bringing two new exciting courses to the MASHLM 04 edition.
Howard Roy Williams, President and CEO of the Center for Humanitarian Cooperation and Adjunct Professor at Columbia University's School of International and Public Affairs (SIPA), will teach Delivery of Humanitarian Assistance: An Operational and Planning Perspective.
Professor Williams has previously served as Director of the Office of Foreign Disaster Assistance (OFDA) at the U.S. Agency for International Development (USAID), Vice President for Overseas Policy and Planning with the International Rescue Committee, and Chief of Operations with the International Organization for Migration (IOM).
Arun Apte, Associate Professor at the Naval Postgraduate School and president of the College of Humanitarian Operations and Crisis Management, within the Production and Operations Management Society (POMS). will lead the Humanitarian Logistics course.
Professor Apte's research interests include Humanitarian Logistics, Service Operations, and Military Logistics.
