The board of the Humanitarian Logistics and Supply Chain Research Institute (HUMLOG Institute) has installed an annual award for best masters thesis in humanitarian logistics and supply chain management completed in 2012. Two MASHLM alumni entered the competition and were recognized for their work. Rose van Steijn won the best masters thesis award in humanitarian logistics and Tony Villy Odong got one of the honorary mention.
