Dr. Aruna Apte - Teaching Award

Dr. Aruna Apte has been named winner of the Naval Postgraduate School 2015 Richard W. Hamming Teaching Award. Dr. Apte is Associate Professor of Operations and Logistics Management in the Graduate School of Business and Public Policy at NPS. This award recognizes Dr. Apte's excellence in three areas; teaching, thesis supervision, and her positive impact on students outside the classroom.

Dr. Apte has taught the Challenges in Humanitarian Logistics course at MASHLM. She will soon be returning to Lugano and the Università della Svizzera italiana as a visiting professor along with her husband, Dr. Uday Apte. They will collaborate on humanitarian research with MASHLM / MASHOM director Paulo Gonçalves.
