MASHLM Director Paulo Gonçalves has been in the USA this week teaching Systems Dynamics at Georgia Tech's Center for Health & Humanitarian Systems (CHHS).
Humanitarian practitioners from 16 countries have been in Atlanta earning a Professional Certificate in Health & Humanitarian Supply Chain Management. Prof. Gonçalves' class is part of the Systems Operations in Health and Humanitarian Response module.
Prof. Goncalves will also be the guest speaker at MIT's System Dynamics Seminar on May 23rd. He will present his research Dealer Hoarding, Sales Push and Seed Returns: On the Interdependency between Incentives and Salesforce Management. This paper "informs the limitations of dealer incentives and sheds light on the important roles of managing sales resources and setting adequate sales targets."
